Historic Racing Club Inc. Dear Race Competitor Welcome to the Historic Racing Club Inc. The HRC is a club for competitors and has its origins in the Formula Libre Association. Up until now, the TR Register has assisted the Association in arranging permits for events and we are grateful to the TR Register for their support. However, the time has now come for the 'Big Single Seater Brigade' to form their own club. Our core interest is the owners of F5000, Can-Am cars and Formula Pacific's, although we will actively encourage races for all Historic Racing cars. We also want to encourage more high profile Classic meetings and will actively seek entries from Australia, USA and UK. HRC will also arrange for NZ cars to travel overseas to meetings like the Sandown 2000 meeting. It is not our intention to cut across the present clubs, but to work with them on an ongoing basis to encourage a united Historic movement throughout New Zealand. Our aims are to preserve and promote the sporting fellowship of drivers and owners of single seater, sports racing cars and production Sports/GT cars modified with period modifications. The HRC will be affiliated to Motorsport New Zealand Incorporated and to abide by its rules and those of the Federation International de l'Automobile. Many of us have racing cars that we want 'exercise' more often than at present and we want to race with Historic and Classic cars from the pre 1977 era. There will be a strict adherence to Schedule K regulations. Historic Single Seaters and Sports Racing Cars will keep to the Period Classifications of Cars. Formula 5000's, Formula Atlantic's and Sports Racing cars will be kept separate from the earlier, smaller engined single seaters. Membership of the Historic Racing Club is $50.00 per year to cover administration, newsletter/entry form mailing costs etc. Kind regards, Tony Roberts
